Leo Terrell, a former civil rights attorney and current Fox News commentator appointed to the Justice Department by Donald Trump, is making headlines for accusing Jill Biden of “elder abuse.”
Terrell, now a senior counselor at the DOJ, sparked controversy after claiming Jill Biden should face charges for allegedly concealing President Biden’s health issues—following news that the president has advanced prostate cancer.
Responding to a post on X suggesting Jill Biden pushed her husband to run despite knowing his condition, Terrell posted, “Elder abuse! Criminal charges??” He followed up with multiple posts accusing her of domestic abuse and defrauding taxpayers.
Some posts even went as far as calling for violence if Biden undergoes treatment, with Terrell resharing them, further fueling outrage.
Criticism quickly mounted, with medical experts and political figures questioning the logic of blaming Jill Biden, who holds a doctorate in education—not medicine. Donald Trump Jr. and Trump himself echoed suspicions, while critics pushed back, calling the accusations “cruel,” “hateful,” and politically motivated.
Jill Biden’s defenders emphasized she is not a medical doctor and criticized the politicization of a serious health issue. Amid the backlash, President Biden shared a message on X, thanking supporters and emphasizing unity in the face of cancer.
