Kai Trump: Golf Star, Granddaughter, and Grandpa’s Favorite
Kai Trump, 17, may come from one of America’s most high-profile families, but she’s quickly making a name for herself. The eldest grandchild of Donald Trump and daughter of Donald Jr. and Vanessa, Kai has mostly stayed out of the spotlight—until now.
She recently opened up about her close bond with her grandfather, describing him as a “normal grandpa” who sneaks her candy and soda behind her parents’ backs and keeps tabs on her grades. Their connection runs deep—especially on the golf course, where Trump plays to win. “He gives me a run for my money,” Kai says.
Born in NYC in 2007, Kai now lives in Florida, attends The Benjamin School, and is a rising golf talent. She recently committed to the University of Miami’s women’s golf team. In 2024, she made her first public speech at the Republican National Convention, calling Trump “loving and caring” and sharing how proud he is of her.
Despite her famous last name, Kai stays grounded and focused. Politics isn’t on her radar—she’s got her sights set on pro golf. But one thing’s clear: her bond with her grandfather is as strong as ever.
