FBI Reopens White House Cocaine Case
In a surprising move, the FBI has reopened its investigation into one of the Biden-era White House’s strangest scandals: the discovery of a bag of cocaine in the West Wing in July 2023.
Deputy FBI Director Dan Bongino confirmed on May 26 that the agency is revisiting several high-profile cases, including the cocaine incident, the 2021 D.C. pipe bombing, and the Dobbs leak. “We made the decision to either re-open or push additional resources to these cases,” Bongino said, noting weekly updates and ongoing progress.
The cocaine was found in a cubby near the West Wing entrance—used by staff and guests—prompting an immediate evacuation. The Secret Service confirmed the substance but found no usable fingerprints or DNA. Over 500 people were considered potential sources, but no suspect was identified.
Former President Trump recently claimed the evidence had been “wiped dry” and even suggested, without proof, that Joe or Hunter Biden could be involved. The Biden family was reportedly at Camp David at the time.
Public curiosity remains high, partly due to Hunter Biden’s past drug use, which he detailed in his 2021 memoir. However, he has reportedly been clean since 2019.
With renewed FBI attention and public scrutiny, the mystery of the West Wing cocaine may not be over yet.
