Trump vs. Harvard Heats Up — and Melania Responds
Donald Trump is locked in a fiery feud with Harvard University, urging federal agencies to cut ties with the school over a dispute involving foreign student records and $3.2 billion in frozen grants. On Truth Social, Trump called Harvard “very antisemitic” and proposed redirecting its federal funding to trade schools.
The clash has fueled online speculation — including a viral theory that Trump’s anger stems from son Barron allegedly being rejected by Harvard. Senator Sheldon Whitehouse even suggested on X that Trump’s motives may be personal.
Trump later clarified Barron chose NYU’s Stern School of Business, praising it as a “very high-quality place.” In a rare move, Melania Trump weighed in through her spokesperson, firmly denying Barron ever applied to Harvard and calling the rumors “completely false.”
