Local journalist Richard Mineards claims Meghan has “isolated” herself, rarely appearing in the community and once even turning away an elderly historian offering a gift. He says she “doesn’t play the community game,” contrasting her with more engaged residents like Oprah Winfrey.
Meghan is described as highly controlled and “practically invisible,” while Harry is seen as approachable and friendly. Locals often spot him biking, walking his dog, or chatting at coffee shops.
Despite this, some residents — including actress Sharon Stone — have praised the couple’s presence, saying they’ve become a “caring” part of the community.
