Eric Trump, President Donald Trump’s 41-year-old middle son and co-executive VP of the Trump Organization, hinted in a Financial Times interview that he or other family members might pursue a political career after Donald Trump’s second presidential term ends in 2029. He said the political path “would be an easy one” but expressed concern about the personal toll on family, asking if he’d want to “drag other members” into it or have his kids face the same challenges he has.
Unlike his siblings Donald Jr. and Ivanka, who have been more active in politics, Eric has mainly focused on the family business. Still, he criticized current politicians and said he believes he could govern effectively. When asked if 2024 would be the last Trump election, he replied, “Time will tell. But there’s more people than just me.”
Eric denied that the family profited from politics, emphasizing the high costs and legal battles they’ve faced, estimated around $500 million. Despite this, Donald Trump’s wealth, including stakes in Trump Media and cryptocurrency ventures, has reportedly grown substantially. The Trump family’s influence in GOP politics and business continues, fueling speculation that their political dynasty may extend beyond Donald Trump’s presidency.
