Just days before his death, Ozzy Osbourne was seen laughing and joking in a heartwarming video shared by his family—one of his final public appearances.
The Black Sabbath frontman died at age 76 at his UK estate, surrounded by family, just 17 days after a reunion performance with the original lineup—their first in 20 years.
Osbourne had battled serious health issues, including a 2019 Parkinson’s diagnosis. Though his cause of death remains unconfirmed, concerns about his health had been ongoing.
In a July 9 video posted by his daughter Kelly, Ozzy appeared in good spirits during a private family gathering where Kelly’s partner, Slipknot’s Sid Wilson, proposed. As Wilson began his speech, Ozzy interrupted with a cheeky: “F**k off, you’re not marrying my daughter,” sparking laughter all around. He beamed proudly as the proposal continued.
The Osbourne family said in a statement: “He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask for privacy as we grieve.”
Ozzy rose to fame with Black Sabbath, helping define heavy metal with his dark, theatrical style. Later, The Osbournes reality show revealed his humorous, endearing side to a new generation.
