Octomom’s octuplets turn 15 – their lives now

Posted on August 13, 2025 By admin

Natalie “Octomom” Suleman made headlines in 2009 after giving birth to the world’s first surviving octuplets—adding to her six older children and bringing her total to 14. All her pregnancies were the result of IVF performed by Dr. Michael Kamrava, who implanted 12 embryos in 2008, leading to the octuplets’ birth.

Suleman later claimed she hadn’t consented to that number, alleging Kamrava misled her while medicated. He denied wrongdoing, but his medical license was revoked in 2011 for “gross negligence.”

Struggling financially, Suleman pursued unconventional work—including stripping, adult film, and boxing—and filed for bankruptcy in 2012 with $1 million in debt. In 2014, she was convicted of welfare fraud for not reporting $26,000 in income.

Eventually stepping out of the spotlight, Suleman began working as a counselor and occasionally models. She credits leaving fame for helping her family find stability.

In 2024, she celebrated the octuplets’ 15th birthday, expressing pride in their growth and character.
