Since her breakout in Cactus Flower (1969), Hawn has remained in the public eye, marrying fellow entertainers Gus Trikonis and later Bill Hudson. Her children, including Kate and Oliver Hudson, also entered showbiz—so constant media attention is no surprise.
Recently, 78-year-old Hawn was photographed on vacation in a swimsuit, sparking mixed reactions online. Some criticized her appearance and choice of swimwear, while others praised her confidence and age-defying look.
Hawn has been with actor Kurt Russell since 1983, and they share one child. Russell also helped raise her children from her previous marriage.
Despite public scrutiny, Hawn remains unfazed by aging. “Getting older is a fact of life,” she told People. “It’s wonderful to know you’re aging because that means you’re still here.”
She also acknowledges ageism in Hollywood. “You think you’re going to prove to Hollywood you’re still sexy at 45? No. There’s a certain reality,” she told Bazaar. “But I’m not angry. Anger isn’t productive.”
