Kseniya Alexandrova, Russian model and Miss Universe 2017 contestant, dies at 30
Kseniya Alexandrova, a Russian model and TV personality who represented Russia in Miss Universe 2017, has died at age 30.
Her modeling agency, Modus Vivendis, confirmed her death in an emotional Instagram post on August 13, without disclosing the cause. Russian media later reported she died in a car accident on the M9 highway after the couple’s vehicle collided with a moose, according to her husband. The pair had married earlier this year.
Born in Moscow, Alexandrova rose to fame as first runner-up in Miss Russia 2017, later stepping in to represent the country at Miss Universe. She encouraged people worldwide to “believe in themselves and never give up on their dreams.”
Beyond modeling, she held a finance degree from Plekhanov Russian University and later trained as a psychodrama therapist.
The Miss Universe Organization paid tribute to her, remembering her for her beauty, strength, and kindness.
