Popular French Streamer Dies On Camera Amid Torture Allegations
French streamer Raphaël Graven, known as Jean Pormanove, died during a livestream on August 18 in Contes, near Nice. Local reports claim the 46-year-old was tortured for ten days—beaten, sleep-deprived, and forced to ingest toxic substances—before taking his last breath on camera. His final Kick livestream had been running over 298 hours.
Graven, a former soldier, had reportedly messaged his mother days before, saying he felt “held hostage.” He was known for extreme content, including “humiliation streams,” and regularly collaborated with influencers Owen Cenazandotti (“Naruto”) and Safine Hamadi (“Safine”), who were seen in the stream when he died.
Authorities have launched an investigation, with an autopsy pending. While prosecutors say nothing suspicious has been confirmed yet, France’s digital technology minister stated Graven had been “humiliated and abused for months” in previous streams. Naruto has since posted a tribute, asking fans not to share footage of Graven’s death.
