Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Slammed Over New Netflix Deal
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have renewed their Netflix deal under a first-look agreement, meaning they’ll only be paid if the streaming giant approves their projects. This marks a significant downgrade from their $100 million 2020 deal.
Sky News Australia’s Paul Murray criticized the new arrangement, calling it a “p— weak version” of the original. He and commentator Megyn Kelly speculated the deal was a face-saving move to avoid outright cancellation, with Kelly claiming Netflix has little confidence in the couple’s content.
Despite this, Meghan released a positive statement, saying they were “proud to extend” the partnership and will launch season 2 of With Love, Meghan.
Feud Between Harry and William Deepens
Five years after stepping back from royal duties, Prince Harry remains estranged from Prince William. Royal expert Ingrid Seward claims Meghan is at the center of the rift, being “intensely disliked” by monarchists and viewed as damaging to the royal family.
The brothers reportedly haven’t spoken in years, with Harry’s calls to William going unanswered. Experts say trust issues persist, especially following Harry’s memoir Spare, where he accused William of attacking him during an argument about Meghan.
William reportedly believes Harry betrayed the family and refuses to engage due to fear private conversations will be leaked. Their father, King Charles, also keeps his distance, wary of further disclosures.
Meghan’s Family Tensions and Public Perception
Critics also point to Meghan’s fractured relationship with her own family. She has not reconciled with her father, who has never met his grandchildren, which some find troubling.
Royal observers suggest Meghan has no intention of returning to the U.K., with her life rooted in California. Despite this, some hope remains for reconciliation — though experts agree it’s unlikely without an apology from Harry.
Flashbacks and Contradictions
Former royal butler Grant Harrold recalled a much friendlier past between Harry, William, and their stepmother Camilla, contradicting Harry’s version in Spare. Harrold claims the brothers once supported their father’s marriage, but Harry later said they both urged Charles not to wed Camilla.
