Simon Cowell, known for his massive success in music and TV, suffered a life-altering accident in 2020 when he crashed his electric bike in Malibu, breaking his back. The injury was so severe, he feared he might never walk again.
After a six-hour surgery involving metal rods, doctors told him to rest—but Cowell was up and walking within days. Despite downplaying the situation publicly, he later admitted the pain and helplessness were overwhelming. “I’ve never been in a situation where I literally couldn’t move,” he said.
The hardest part was facing his young son, Eric. But Eric sweetly called him “Ironman,” which helped Cowell cope with the embarrassment.
Doctors initially warned he might not walk again, but Cowell made a full recovery and now says he feels healthier than before the accident. Reflecting on the ordeal, he said, “All I kept thinking about was my family… the most important thing is your health—and don’t do stupid things.”
