Gordon Ramsay issues health warning after surgery

Posted on September 6, 2025 By admin

Skin cancer is a growing global concern, and celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay is helping raise awareness.

He recently revealed on Instagram that he underwent surgery to remove a basal cell carcinoma, a common form of skin cancer, sharing photos of stitches near his jaw.

“Grateful for the incredible team at The Skin Associates… Please don’t forget your sunscreen,” he wrote, adding humorously, “It’s not a facelift!”

Cancer Research UK thanked him for highlighting sun safety, reminding everyone to seek shade, cover up, and apply sunscreen generously.

Basal cell carcinoma often appears as a transparent bump, usually on sun-exposed areas like the face or neck, and may look like a sore that won’t heal.

This isn’t Ramsay’s first health-related post. Last year, he shared details of a serious cycling accident in Connecticut, urging everyone to wear helmets — no matter how short the ride.
