Disney faces a major boycott from leading stars and creators of the entertainment industry after making the bold decision to cancel Jimmy Kimmel Live!
The leading star’s popular late-night show has been put on an indefinite hiatus, with many standing against the company’s decision to do so. Several high-profile figures from the industry were seen coming forward in support of Kimmel, calling the decision a violation of freedom of speech.
This comes after the celeb made some comments about the assassination of right-wing political activist Charlie Kirk. Trump was seen celebrating the news and calling it a great move for the nation’s betterment. He further went on to slam Kimmel as a person with zero talent and reduced ratings.
Now, high-profile creatives inside Hollywood have pledged to boycott Disney after Kimmel’s show was suspended until further notice.
The ABC network’s list of demands was also blasted as outrageous, where Kimmel was told to issue a public apology to the Kirk family, send donations to the Kirk family, and also send more private donations to his campaign. The celeb has refused to do any of this and says he feels cornered as new images saw him making his way to a lawyer’s office downtown.
Sources shared how ABC is believed to have come under fire from the FCC chair, who threatened to take action against the network due to what he said.
