The UN has been forced to issue a statement offering an innocent explanation for an escalator malfunction involving American President Donald Trump after the White House raised the possibility of sabotage.
In a shocking new incident that arose shortly before Trump took the stage at the UN General Assembly on Tuesday, both Trump and Melania had no choice but to walk up the escalator when the stairway came to an abrupt halt moments after they stepped on. But that’s not the only mishap that people are talking about.
The President also had to face serious embarrassment when the teleprompter he was reading the speech on failed to function, causing him to abruptly halt his speech and make a joke to the crowd about how the person in charge was going to be in some serious trouble.
The White House has since then released a statement on this matter. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said on X that they were currently trying to investigate the matter that they referred to as intentional sabotage.
They felt that something that was running perfectly fine cannot suddenly stop working when the President gets on or is supposed to speak.
