King Charles and Prince Harry’s relationship has been strained ever since Harry left the Royal Family. The release of his memoir Spare and the explosive Oprah interview with Meghan Markle only widened the rift. Despite this, the two reportedly reunited in the UK recently—marking their first meeting in 19 months—where Charles issued Harry a firm ultimatum.
Charles emphasized that there’s no room for a “half-in, half-out” role in the monarchy, upholding the late Queen Elizabeth’s stance. This means Harry cannot balance royal duties with private business ventures like his Netflix and Spotify deals.
While there’s speculation Harry might want a limited royal role, sources say Charles won’t make exceptions. A spokesperson for Harry stated his focus is on his father, and declined further comment on family matters.
