Donald and Melania Trump have been married since 2005 and welcomed their son, Barron, in 2006. While Donald focused on his business, Melania raised Barron with little outside help, choosing not to hire a nanny. Despite growing up in luxury at Trump Tower, Barron had a hands-on mother who cooked his meals, helped with homework, and encouraged creativity—even letting him draw on the walls.
Melania, originally from Slovenia, raised Barron to be bilingual and shielded him from media attention. Donald, by contrast, admitted he wasn’t heavily involved in parenting, though he spent quality time with Barron as he got older.
Melania once revealed that Donald wanted more children, but she was content with one due to their busy lives. She also emphasized teaching Barron the value of hard work by involving him in her daily routines.
Now 19, Barron recently graduated from high school and enrolled at NYU’s Stern School of Business. He lives at home, with Melania prioritizing his well-being and academic success. According to her, Barron is an intelligent, kind, and independent young man—qualities she’s very proud of.
