Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelenskyy met at the White House last week, but the meeting ended in a heated argument. According to the Financial Times, Trump shouted and cursed at Zelenskyy after the Ukrainian president failed to secure Tomahawk missiles.
Trump reportedly demanded Zelenskyy agree to end the war by giving up the Donbas region, warning that “Putin will destroy you” if he refused. At one point, Trump threw a map across the table, expressing frustration over the drawn-out conflict.
Though Trump had previously considered sending Tomahawk missiles, he later said the U.S. needed to prioritize its own stockpiles. After the meeting, he posted online, calling for a halt to the fighting: “Enough blood has been shed… Let both claim Victory, let History decide!”
