Actress and philanthropist Susan Kendall Newman, daughter of Paul Newman and his first wife Jackie Witte, has died at 72.
According to The New York Times, she passed away on August 2, 2025, from complications related to chronic health conditions.
Born in New York City in 1952, Susan Newman was an actress, director, and philanthropist known for her work in film, television, and social advocacy. She appeared in Slap Shot, A Wedding, and I Want to Keep My Baby! before moving behind the camera to direct and produce documentaries focused on social issues.
