A woman from Oklahoma reportedly lost all four of her limbs after being attacked by two dogs while riding her bike.
Janelle Scott was attacked by two pit bulls on September 9 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, her family confirmed through a GoFundMe page. News 9 spoke to Scott’s mother, Cheryl, who shared how her daughter was riding bicycles with her lover when a friend’s pit bulls started to attack from nowhere.
Her boyfriend was riding behind Scott at the time and rushed to try and chase the dogs away before dialing for immediate help, sources shared.
As per News 9, the Okmulgee police mentioned how they found Scott suffering from several serious and significant injuries. One of the dogs involved passed away during the altercation with the boyfriend, the police mentioned. ‘There is an RV-type trailer located in this area, and it’s believed that the dogs were kept within this trailer,’- the cops mentioned regarding this incident.
The trailer had reportedly been broken open at some point in the evening, which might have caused the animals to be released from the confinement.
As per the GoFundMe account, Scott had her right arm and left leg amputated, but soon after that, she needed surgery to amputate the other two limbs. So far, her GoFundMe campaign has managed to raise $12,000.
