Golden Globe Winning Actress Sally Kirkland Passes Away

Posted on November 11, 2025 By admin

Tragic reports have confirmed the death of Bruce Almighty actress Sally Kirkland, who passed away at the age of 84.

The Golden Globe winner died after a battle with dementia just days after it was reported that she had entered hospice in Palm Springs.

Her representative, Michael Greene, mentioned that she was pronounced dead on Tuesday morning. A GoFundMe has been set up for the star in the past when she was facing two separate life-threatening infections after fracturing several bones this past year.

Her publicist, Dominic Friesen, mentioned in a statement that she had been getting medical care at a private medical facility, where family and friends joined her on Halloween for a birthday celebration.

A GoFundMe set up to raise money for Kirland’s medical expenses had mentioned: ‘This past year, Sally fractured four bones in her neck, right wrist, and her left hip.’ And while she was recovering from that, she had also developed life-threatening infections.

The legendary star is best known for her movies such as The Sting and Anna, the latter of which earned her a popular Oscar nomination and Golden Globe win. Now, her fans and the industry are mourning the loss of a great talent and acting legend.
