Tragic reports are speaking about a heartbreaking incident that took place in Seoul, South Korea, today, where two people were left dead and dozens more were injured.
According to local media outlets, a giant truck ended up plowing into the crowds at a busy outdoor market in South Korea’s Bucheon city, in the Seoul metropolitan area.
The initial figures spoke about two people being killed and at least 18 more getting injured after the truck slammed into the crowds at the outdoor bustling market.
Emergency services rushed to the scene in Bucheon city when the horrifying incident occurred. The driver was said to be in his 60s and was rescued after being stuck inside his vehicle, as the door was smashed.
He was arrested by the police and is being interrogated, as confirmed by police officials. Initial reports mentioned how the driver stated that his brakes failed and which caused the crash.
Two of the victims who died were said to have gone into a state of cardiac arrest, leading to their death in the end.
