Millions of fans around the world mourned Ozzy Osbourne’s death in July at age 76. The “Prince of Darkness” received a funeral cortege in his hometown of Birmingham, and condolences poured in. On a new episode of The Osbournes podcast, Sharon Osbourne shared a voicemail she received from Donald Trump after Ozzy’s passing.
Ozzy, who had battled Parkinson’s for years, was laid to rest on July 30. Sharon stayed out of the public eye for months. In October, her son Jack told Good Morning America that she was “OK, but not OK,” adding that she felt the love from fans and was moved by the worldwide support.
In the latest podcast episode, Jack played Trump’s voicemail, in which he praised Ozzy as “unique” and “talented,” offered condolences, and told Sharon to reach out if she needed anything. Hearing it made Sharon emotional.
Sharon, who competed on The Celebrity Apprentice in 2010, said she appreciated Trump’s message and set politics aside. She recalled that both Trump and Melania were always gracious toward her and that Trump consistently treated her with respect. Jack noted, “Love him or hate him, he didn’t have to call and leave a voicemail.”
