A massive blaze has caused serious hospital chaos this morning as patients and staff needed to be urgently evacuated.
The incident took place at the Santa Lucia University General Hospital in Spain after shocking footage on social media showed the fire swiftly spread.

The blaze is believed to have begun just before 7:25 am local time, and the extent of this fire’s spreading really caught staff off-guard, as per a publication shared by local media outlets.
Videos showed how patients lying on hospital beds were urgently rushed outside the building with their vital equipment attached. Firefighters were currently tackling the blaze as reports spoke about strong winds in the area, causing the fire to spread so quickly. As per local media outlets, only one of the buildings of the Santa Lucia University General Hospital was on fire.

Sources from the 112 emergency services spoke about how they received more than 30 different calls from worried witnesses about the blaze starting at 7:25 am.
Reports also went on to suggest how the blaze broke out as the staff were in the middle of handing over their shifts to other staff members after completing the morning duties. People were warned not to attend the hospital at this moment in time and to avoid the area as the investigators are busy at work to figure out the cause of the huge blaze.
