Singer Katy Perry is demanding a staggering sum of funds in a lawsuit that was launched against the disabled veteran who owned the massive $15 million Montecito, California home she bought more than 5 years back.
The 41-year-old celeb purchased the residence from Carl Westcott in the year 2020, but in just a few days, the businessman who founded the mega 1800 flowers tried to back out of this deal and claimed that they was incapacitated due to pain meds when he signed the paperwork.
His backtracking led to a massive legal battle over the sale of the huge eight bedroom home, which also features 11 bathrooms in the upscale community that counts Meghan Markle and Oprah Winfrey among the different residents.
The judge ruled in the star’s favor in May of last year over the sale of the eight-bedroom home that also has famous celebs like Meghan Markle and Oprah Winfrey in the neighborhood.
In the recent court documents shared to the public, Perry mentioned that Westcott is accountably for lost funds in rentals as well as for the repairs she needed to make on the mansion, as per the legal files.
The singer requested the court to force Westcott to pay $4 million to account for the damages that arose with the extended litigation over the real estate sale.
