Kamala Harris Accuses Trump of “Gaslighting” Over Epstein Files
Kamala Harris publicly pressured President Donald Trump to immediately release the Epstein files, accusing him of “gaslighting the American people” by claiming he needed Congress’ approval. “He’s taken unilateral action on everything else,” she said. “So release the files!”
Her comments came just hours before Trump signed a bill directing the DOJ to release all unclassified Epstein-related documents. Trump celebrated the bill on Truth Social, claiming the DOJ had already handed over nearly 50,000 pages and accusing the Biden administration of hiding information.
The House passed the measure 421–1. The Epstein Files Transparency Act requires the DOJ to publish all unclassified records related to Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell, and related investigations, though victim identities and sensitive material can be redacted. The DOJ must make the files public within 30 days.
Attorney General Pam Bondi said the department would follow the law.
