A sleepover prank turned horrific when three boys poured boiling water on 12-year-old Trey West from Georgia as he slept, leaving him with severe second-degree burns on his face. Trey was rushed to a burn center for surgery and is now recovering at home, though the healing process will take weeks.
His mother, Tiffany West, said she was shocked and devastated that trusted friends could do something so cruel. Trey’s aunt added that he feels “numb” after the incident. The three boys involved were arrested and later released to their families while awaiting court hearings.
