Sen. Cory Booker — often mentioned as a future Democratic leader — is officially married. The New Jersey senator wed real estate professional Alexis Lewis in two intimate ceremonies in November 2025: one in Newark, reflecting his roots, and another in Washington, D.C., honoring hers.
The couple met on a blind date in 2024, and despite living on opposite coasts, quickly built a strong connection. Booker later said Lewis brought balance and happiness into his life.
They first married quietly at a federal courthouse in Newark, then held a second interfaith ceremony in D.C., celebrated with family photos, floral décor, and warm messages online — including jokes that Lewis has “First Lady energy.”
Booker, 56, a former mayor and senator since 2013, ran for president in 2020 and continues to draw attention for a possible 2028 run. Lewis, 38, works in real estate investment and policy and now lives with Booker in Newark. The couple shares a foster dog and growing public fascination as they begin their new chapter together.
