A heartbroken mother is sharing a major warning with other parents after she lost her twins to a tragic incident in the family’s home.
Sadie Myers and her partner, Don Starrm, had zero clue that the cedar toy chest in the 4-year-old twins’ bedroom could pose such a serious threat to her little ones.
This is right before they discovered the twins ended up suffocating after falling asleep inside. Myers shared a gut-wrenching post through Facebook as a tribute to her daughter, Aurora, and son Kellan, who passed away in each other’s arms.
The mother asked for prayers for her family and begged anyone with a large toy chest to destroy that immediately. Myers explained how her husband put the kids to bed while she was at work and then went to sleep himself. When she arrived at home, she checked on them, only to find that eveything was fine.
This is the point where she had some dinner and went to sleep, having zero clue about what was about to build up. Myers assumed the kids got up at some point in time and wished to play, and then got so tired that they went back to sleep.
When the family woke up the next day, they found the twins missing and panicked. They looked everywhere, only to find them inside the chest, suffocated to death, and lying helplessly in that air-tight and closed chest.
