Parents everywhere are divided around the world over the issue of smacking, but it seems like Kelly Clarkson happens to be on the fence over this matter.
The American Idol winner mentioned more about how she’s not above smacking, adding how she does like to do that and that it only helps in creating discipline, nothing more. ‘I do that, but I don’t get what is wrong with it,’- the star mentioned in a recent interview. She also shared more about how disciplining kids in public can do wonders, and she’s all in for that.
Clarkson added how life can be tricky sometimes, and you’ve got to deal with various phases in life, but despite the action being frowned upon, she admits that she’s all in for it.
‘I am not above a spanking, which people are not necessarily into. I do not mean hitting hard, but I do think a little spanking every once in a while is so important!’- she continued.
The host for the Kelly Clarkson show went on to add that her parents spanked her when she was a child, and she feels that it’s really shaped her into the person that she is. Furthermore, she explained that she did fine in life and hopes the same for her kids.
