She also added that because of this, she was so happy to at least have that chance, so that she could live on the legacy.
Kim continued to argue about how wearing the gown fit the Met Gala’s theme of American fashion history, noting that she felt Monroe’s moment was so American.
Her wearing of this gown was not without serious controversy; this gown was first worn by the Hollywood legend Monroe herself in the year 1962.
It’s known to be a delicate and historic piece, and Kim had to lose 16 pounds in just three weeks to fit into it, as they were not ready or willing to do any alterations to a historical piece. The remark about people not knowing Monroe raised criticism and controversy, with some asking Kim to stop living under a rock, as the world did exist before the Kardashians came into play.
