Brad Pitt is suing his ex-wife Angelina Jolie for $35 million, according to newly revealed court documents.
The former Hollywood power couple, who married in 2014 and divorced in 2016, have been locked in years of legal battles following their split. The main dispute centers on Château Miraval, the French winery they co-owned.
Jolie sold her stake in the winery to a third party, which Pitt claims violated an agreement that neither would sell without the other’s consent. Jolie denies such an agreement ever existed.
Emails from late 2023 show Pitt is seeking damages for alleged harm to Miraval’s business, while Jolie’s legal team argues the lawsuit is an attempt to harass and control her. They also accuse Pitt of refusing to provide documents related to a past NDA tied to personal misconduct.
Pitt’s lawyers counter that Jolie’s team later proposed broader non-disparagement terms after selling her shares.
The next court hearing is scheduled for December 17, 2025, with Jolie’s attorney calling Pitt’s claims speculative and intrusive.
