Australian actress Rachael Carpani, best known for McLeod’s Daughters and appearances on NCIS: Los Angeles, has died at age 45 after a long battle with chronic illness, her family confirmed.
Born in Sydney, Carpani rose to fame as Jodi Fountain on McLeod’s Daughters and later starred in U.S. productions including Against the Wall, If There Be Thorns, and the film Triangle alongside Liam Hemsworth.
Her family said she passed away peacefully on December 7, with a private funeral planned. The nature of her illness was not disclosed, though Carpani had previously shared a serious hospital stay in 2021.
Tributes have poured in from fans and co-stars, including McLeod’s Daughters actress Bridie Carter, who remembered her as a beloved member of their TV family.
Rest in peace, Rachael Carpani.
