Hollywood legend Rob Reiner, 78, gave a haunting final interview just months before his shocking death. Speaking on CNN in September, he warned about media control and authoritarianism, ominously saying, “This may be the last time you ever see me.”
Less than four months later, Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, 68, were found dead in their Brentwood, Los Angeles home on December 14. Authorities described the scene as an apparent double homicide involving stab wounds. The couple were discovered by their daughter, Romy. There were no signs of forced entry, and police are questioning their son, Nick, following reports of a heated family argument. No arrests have been made.
Reiner’s CNN interview drew attention for his fiery criticism of government interference in media following the temporary suspension of Jimmy Kimmel. He warned that controlling the media “goes against the First Amendment” and could lead to state-run media.
Rob Reiner’s Hollywood career spanned over five decades. He rose to fame as “Meathead” on All in the Family before directing iconic films like When Harry Met Sally, The Princess Bride, Stand by Me, and A Few Good Men. He was also a prominent political activist and co-founded the American Foundation for Equal Rights.
His wife Michele was a respected producer, working on films including Shock and Awe and God & Country.
