32-year-old Nick Reiner has been charged with the brutal murders of his parents after they were found in their beds with their throats slit in Los Angeles.
The tragedy unfolded while they were asleep, as confirmed by the local authorities investigating the matter.
The family had just attended a holiday party that was hosted by Conan O’Brien, where Nick was said to have displayed erratic behavior at the time. This includes an argument with his dad and, amid other unsettling conduct, that kept many alarmed. Raised in the privileged Hollywood royalty, many claim his parents were sick and tired of his nonsense, but still never pushed him to seek help, which is what led him to do what he did today.
His mother, Michele, was said to have reached her wits’ end in recent months to try and help him. The Reiners did hire private sober coaches to work with him, but that too proved to be in vain.
In the wake of the murders, Nick is believed to have fled to a hotel where he left a bloody scene before getting arrested.
His siblings, Romy and Jake, have appealed for compassion and privacy during this difficult time.
