Michael Bolton is battling brain cancer after being diagnosed with glioblastoma in December 2023. The 73-year-old singer underwent emergency brain surgery, followed by a second surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy, leading him to cancel all touring.
Now focused on recovery, Bolton lives in Westport, Connecticut, where he is cared for full-time by his daughters, Isa, Holly, and Taryn. He continues to undergo MRI scans every two months to monitor for recurrence.
Speaking with AARP, Bolton and his daughters shared a positive health update, saying he is in good spirits and generally strong despite some mobility and short-term memory challenges. His daughters said his mobility and cognition have been “terrific” and that the family is in a “really good place.”
Bolton expressed deep gratitude for his family’s support, saying the past year has helped him appreciate life’s meaningful moments, especially time with his daughters and grandchildren.
