Florida Baby Celebrates His First Christmas at Home After 11 Months in the NICU: ‘Best Gift’

Posted on December 29, 2025 By admin

A family from Florida is celebrating an extra special holiday this year.

As per reports from local media outlets, a couple from Central Florida is enjoying their first Christmas home with their baby son Nathaniel after he spent the last 11 months in the NICU.

‘Him being in the hospital for so long and then finally coming home, it’s like a little dream come true,’ his father mentioned.

‘All gifts are great, but honestly, the best gift was just having him here, having him at home,’- the parents explained.

Nathaniel could be found smiling while his parents took part in interviews on Christmas afternoon. They claim the little one still needs oxygen tubes to assist with breathing. But they are proud of him and how he’s growing wonderfully.

‘Every doctor that meets him is surprised that he’s a premature child because he’s so big now,’- they revealed. Today, he weighs 19 pounds, and that’s a long way from what he did when he was born, his mother mentioned. The parents are so grateful for all the love and support from doctors and hope to make the most of the holidays with the family.
