Tragic reports have confirmed that Imani Dia Smith has passed away at the age of 26.
The former Broadway child star was known for starring in the Lion King. Smith was said to have been found with stab wounds at her home in Edison, New Jersey on Sunday, December 21.
The news came after someone reported a stabbing incident during a 911 call, prompting the authorities to rush to the scene.
Smith was pronounced dead after she was transported to Robert Wood Johnston University Hospital in New Brunswick.
Her lover was arrested and accused of murder as per the Middlesex County, New Jersey prosecutor and police department.
She leaves behind a 3 year old son, her parents, her two younger siblings, and an extended familly, friends, and a community who adored her so much.
