He joined a national debate that continues to grow after the tragic killing of Nicole Renee Good by an ICE agent in Minneapolis.
During the interview, Mamdani described the ICE agency as an entity that has no interest in fulfilling its stated reasons for existence.
They also accused it of terrorizing people instead of contributing to providing them with safety.
He also shared that he was so tired of waking up each day and seeing another image of someone getting dragged out of their vehicle, or dragged out of their life.
This is why he made calls for a more humane immigration system to keep Americans safe, instead of adding to fear.
