A shockingly dramatic scene recently unfolded at the Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport.
This is when a car plowed into the McNamara Terminal, ramming through the glass doors and coming to a stop near the Delta Airlines ticket counters. The incident took place around 7:30 pm local time.
This gave rise to chaos among travelers as well as airport staff, and debris was seen scattered across the entire entrance region.
Six people were treated at this scene by first responders for minor injuries, including a few airline employees who were struck by flying fragments due to this terrifying collision.
Footage from the airport showed how the driver exited the car into a dazed state, hands raised, and then was swiftly surrounded and taken into custody by several airport security officers as well as cops. The male seemed to be incoherent in those moments after the crash occurred. This gave rise to a fast and forceful reply from the authorities, who stopped him and led him away from the damaged lobby.
