Quinton Aaron, best known for playing Michael Oher in The Blind Side, has been placed on life support following a serious fall at his home. According to his wife, the 41-year-old actor lost feeling in his legs while climbing stairs and collapsed. He was rushed to the hospital, where doctors diagnosed a blood infection and began further testing.
Aaron is currently on life support but is partially breathing on his own. His wife says he’s showing improvement and remains a “fighter.” A GoFundMe update confirmed that he has opened his eyes and regained some feeling in his foot, though he faces a long recovery and will need a wheelchair and physical therapy.
Aaron rose to fame in 2009 alongside Sandra Bullock in The Blind Side, which earned over $300 million worldwide. Though his acting roles slowed in recent years, his performance remains memorable.
This isn’t his first health scare. In 2025, he was hospitalized with pneumonia and the flu, and he previously dealt with serious respiratory issues in 2019. His family continues to ask for prayers and support as he recovers.
