The search for Savannah Guthrie’s 84-year-old mother, Nancy, missing since January 31 from her Arizona home, has taken a disturbing turn. Authorities now believe she may have been forcibly taken in a possible kidnapping or abduction. Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said it is “a race against time” and confirmed Nancy, who has limited mobility, did not leave voluntarily and has no cognitive issues. The Los Angeles Times reports that blood and signs of forced entry were found inside her home, though it is unclear whose blood it is. Investigators have no solid leads and are urging the public for information. Savannah Guthrie called her mother her “best friend” and asked for prayers on social media, expressing hope and faith that Nancy will be found and brought home safely.
