Melania Trump’s time as First Lady during Donald Trump’s second term has been relatively private. She has continued her Be Best initiative while also focusing on a documentary about her life, for which Amazon reportedly paid $40 million. The film, released in January, received mixed reviews, though she said she was proud of the result.
A recent YouGov poll of 2,255 U.S. adults found Melania has a -16 approval rating. That’s lower than Jill Biden (-9) and slightly below Hillary Clinton (-17), but far behind several former first ladies with positive ratings, including Michelle Obama (+21), Laura Bush (+19), and Nancy Reagan (+25).
The highest-rated in the survey was Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, with +56. The poll also showed Melania’s approval was significantly stronger among Republicans than Democrats.
