Jane Morgan, the elegant American singer best known for her hit song Fascination, has died at 101. She passed away peacefully in hospice care in Naples, Florida, her family confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter.
Born Florence Catherine Currier in 1924 in Massachusetts, Morgan studied at Juilliard School before launching her career in Paris nightclubs in the late 1940s. Singing in both English and French, she became a sensation in Europe before returning to the U.S., where “Fascination” made her a star.
She frequently appeared on popular TV variety programs like The Ed Sullivan Show, The Perry Como Show, and The Dean Martin Show, and performed at the Academy Awards. Over her career, she recorded dozens of albums and performed for U.S. presidents.
In 1965, she married producer Jerry Weintraub, and they remained together until his death in 2015. After retiring, Morgan lived quietly in Florida, leaving behind a legacy of grace, talent, and international acclaim.
