NFL wide receiver Rondale Moore was found dead at his home in New Albany, Indiana, on February 21. He was 25. Reports say he died from a suspected self-inflicted gunshot wound in his garage. Floyd County Coroner Matthew Tomlin confirmed his death, with an autopsy conducted the following day.
Moore recently signed a one-year deal with the Minnesota Vikings after previous stints with the Arizona Cardinals, who drafted him in 2021, and the Atlanta Falcons. Injuries limited his time with both Atlanta and Minnesota.
The Vikings released a statement expressing deep sadness and offering support to Moore’s family, players, and staff. Former teammate J.J. Watt also paid tribute, calling his death “way too soon.”
Rest in peace, Rondale Moore.
