Country singer J.D. Graham is recovering after a devastating interstate crash on Feb. 24. In a Facebook Reel filmed from his hospital bed, wearing a neck brace, he told fans he suffered a broken neck, back and ribs, and shared that his dog died in the accident. “I’m barely alive… I’ve just got to get better,” he said, thanking supporters.
According to a GoFundMe update from his daughters, Destiny and Sydney, Graham’s vehicle was hit by one semi-truck and pushed into another. First responders cut him from the wreckage before he was airlifted to a Texas trauma center, where he remains hospitalized. He faces a long recovery and extensive rehabilitation, and will be unable to walk for some time.
The fundraiser — created as Graham cancels shows and faces mounting medical bills — also notes that his wife, Amy, recently battled cancer and cannot currently work. More than $54,000 has been raised to support the family.
Known for emotional songs about redemption and hardship, Graham previously survived a catastrophic 2017 crash that led to a five-year prison sentence in Arizona. The latest accident comes just days before the planned March 6 release of his new project, Uppers and Downers, and shortly after marking four years since completing his sentence.
