Posted on March 3, 2026 By admin

25-year-old Todd Meadows, a rookie deckhand on Deadliest Catch, died in a tragic sea incident while filming the show’s upcoming season on the Bering Sea. The cause of death has not been publicly disclosed, though reports suggest it was fishing-related.

Captain Rick Shelford confirmed the loss, describing Meadows as a respected crew member whose hard work, laughter, and positive spirit quickly made him part of the team. Shelford also noted that Meadows leaves behind a wife and three young children.

Discovery Channel expressed deep condolences, calling the loss devastating for the fishing community.

A GoFundMe campaign was launched to help support Meadows’ family with funeral expenses.

Meadows is among several Deadliest Catch cast members who have died in recent years, highlighting the dangerous nature of the fishing profession.
