80’s supermodel and Dallas star Annabel Schofield dies at 62

Annabel Schofield, a former Welsh supermodel, actress, and producer, has died at age 62 after battling brain cancer. She passed away on February 28 in Los Angeles following a public fight with cancer that spread to her brain.

Schofield rose to fame in the 1980s as a leading fashion model, appearing on hundreds of international magazine covers and campaigns for brands such as Yves Saint Laurent, Versace, Rimmel, Revlon, and Boots No. 7. She was also remembered for a famous Bugle Boy Jeans commercial featuring her driving a Ferrari in the desert.

She later moved to the United States and pursued acting, best known for playing Laurel Ellis in 12 episodes of the TV series Dallas.

She revealed her cancer diagnosis in 2024 and shared updates with fans, including successful nasal tumor surgery in January 2026 while awaiting further treatment results.

Schofield is survived by her mother after losing her father and sister earlier in life.
