A little love can completely change a dog’s life. One stray found on the streets in terrible condition was close to dying—until rescuers stepped in.
The team at Animal Aid Unlimited in India discovered a female dog wandering with a severely swollen head, dizzy and disoriented. Distrustful of people, she had to be gently lured with treats so rescuers could bring her in for urgent care.
After sedating her, vets discovered the swelling was caused by a deep neck wound filled with maggots. They cleaned and treated the injury, giving the suffering dog a chance to recover.
Within just three days the swelling began to go down, and after five weeks of treatment the transformation was incredible. The once-sick dog, now named Pauline, became a happy and healthy pup again—running around and enjoying life. 🐕💛
